The Sports Car Club of British Columbia originally raced on the tarmac at Abbotsford Airport. In 1958, the SCCBC opened their own race course, Westwood Motorsports Park, which operated until the B.C. regional government revoked their lease in 1990.
SCCBC subsequently worked out an arrangement with the B. C. Custom Car Association and built a road course at the BCCCA's new facility at Mission Raceway Park, which was used for driver traing classes in 1992-93 and opened as a full road racing facility in 1994.
