Brandy Station

Brandy Station was a proposed road racing course to be located near the site of the moderately famous Civil War battle of, you guessed it, Brandy Station. This facility was more than a little controversial, and was not built.

Historical Note

The Brandy Station Civil War battle was notable as the largest engagement of purely Cavalry forces to occur in the American Civil War. Here is a summary of the battle. Here is a link to a site discussing the preservation of the battlefield.
