Muskingum County Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval located north of Zanesville, Ohio.
New: 2005-10-16
The track opened in 1940 as Zanesville Speedway. It was closed for several years during World War II.
Originally a dirt short track, at some time between WWII and the 70s it was paved. Between 1970 and 1971, it was lengthened to 1/2 mile and converted back to clay. From 1980-1983, the track was extensively refurbished, as the asphalt was removed from under the clay. The track reopened in 1983 under the name Muskingum County Speedway. In 1992 the track was shortened to the current 3/8 mile length.
