Built in the 1960s, this track has operated both as River Valley Speedway and Action Park Speedway, switching back and forth between names several times. The track was originally built as an asphalt road course and oval for karts. The oval was covered with dirt in 1982 for Speedway motorcycle racing (apparently this triggered the first name change to Action Park.) Roughly 10 years later, the dirt was removed and the name changed to River Vally Speedway, and the track was used for cars for the remainder of the 90s. In 2001, the track was purchased by its current owner, who restored the dirt, the name Action Park, the focus on motorcyles, and reportedly planned to upgrade the karting sprint course.
