Muncie Motor Speedway was a 1/4 mile paved oval with a figure 8 course located northeast of Muncie, Indiana, next door to the still active Muncie Dragway.
The track was shut down after it was discovered to have been built on a toxic waste dump. It is now a Superfund Site.
Thanks to Dave Wyatt for identifying this facility and providing some details on it.
New: 2007-05-04
The paved oval opened in 1973, operating through 1973, and reopened from 1985 through 1990, when the site was closed down due to the toxic waste dump the track was built on. The figure 8 track appears to have operated through most of this span of time as well.
