Atlanta Motor Speedway is a 1.54 mile oval with a 2.5 mile infield road course, located near Hampton, Georgia. Banking is 24 degrees in the corners, and 5 degrees in the straights.

The track opened on July 31, 1960 under the name Atlanta International Raceway. Bruton Smith purchased the track in late 1990 and renamed it Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 1997, the track was reconfigured to the current form with the addition of the two doglegs.
