Yuma Speedway opened as a 1/4 mile dirt oval in April of 1968, operating it through 1978. The track reopened for 1986 and 1987. It was enlarged to 3/8 mile for the 1988 season, operating through 1997 as Yuma International Speedway. The track operated as Yuma Speedway Park in 1998 and 1999. A 300' sand dragstrip operated from 2000 to approximately 2004. The track was purchased by the Cocopah tribe in 2005 and the oval reopened in September of 2010.
