DIRT (Driver's Independent Race Tracks) Motorsports is a rapidly growing sanctioning body which has recently acquired/merged with such organizations as World of Outlaws and UMP (United Midwestern Promotors).

The original DIRT Motorsports was founded by Glenn Donnelly and the Petrocci in 1976 as a circuit including Rolling Wheels Speedway, Weedsport Speedway, and the the one mile oval at the New York State Fairgrounds. DIRT originally raced modifieds and sportsmen classes, but added additional styles of car as part of the growing process.
DIRT Motorsports was acquired by Boundless Racing in June of 2004.
Boundless Racing was founded in the mid 70s. In 2004, it embarked on a major expansion, purchasing the World Of Outlaws Sprint Car series in February of 2004 and adding a World Of Outlaws Late Model Class. After acquiring DIRT Motorsports in June of 2004, Boundless took on the name of their acquisition in November of 2004. In December of 2004, DIRT Motorsports (nee Boundless Racing) acquired UMP, a midwestern sanctioning body.
